Easter was good. We spent the day going to four different
members' houses, to eat meals and to teach the non-investigator wife
of one of them. It was really good. We had a lot of food. It's not
really celebrated any special way in Belgium. It's just more
hypocritical European celebration, taking two days to celebrate an
event they don't believe happened.
I'm really liking Belgium. It feels more like home than the
Netherlands. The hills might have something to do with that. The
highest point in Nederland is man-made. And I heard yesterday that the
Dutch are going to start building a mountain.
I'll get the picture emailed to you (or Shani) first thing next
week. I'm just hoping I'll be able to get one with decent weather and
lighting (our apartment has wood-paneling all over; floors, wall,
ceiling).
It's fun that Megan is planning on going dancing a lot. I miss
dancing. Oh, well. I can go in less than a year. And I'm glad that
Andrew has registered for school. It's interesting how all of the
missionaries who freak out about going home are the ones who have no
idea what they're going to be doing afterward. It's kind of funny that
he prefers custodial work over groundswork. I thought he loved being
outside.
I'm interested to see what kind of "movies" Gideon is making.
I'll have to do that before I go dancing in a year.
Won't you be glad when all of your children are licensed drivers
who are over the ridiculous-insurance-rate age?
The work here has been going well. I talked to the assistants
earlier, and they're pushing us to get three of our four investigators
with baptsimal dates baptized before the end of April. And they
pointed out that it's possible. So we'll be hoping and praying that
they all make it to church every week.
The Church is true. I love you all.
