It is really weird that Conference is coming up again. It's the last time I'll hear the statistics report and be able to think "I'm one of those missionaries!" I'll also most likely be hearing it in Dutch, from the church in Antwerpen. Oh, yeah. I'm getting transferred to Gent (Ghent, if you want the English spelling) on Wednesday. So I'll be in Belgium, home of delicious waffles and French fries (they're actually Belgian). I'll also need to adjust to speaking Flemish, instead of Dutch.
It's cool that the shopping center is open now, even if it is ridiculously priced.
I know I'm a couple of days late but, happy birthday!
For the time being, my polar bear is named Arctic. I thought it was the most fitting suggestion. I'm interested to see what your tye-dye bunny looks like. I'll have to see it in eleven months. I hit my thirteen month mark on Friday.
I really don't have any special insights on Jacob 5, except for the fact that I'm participating in it right now. Those six pages are full of information. I should know. I've read it twice in the last two months.
Missionary work is speeding up here in Alkmaar. We were led by the Spirit to a street where we thought we were going to be knocking on doors, but then we noticed that it was where some former investigators live, so we knocked on the door, right as the whole family was home and the father was going to get a first-aid kit from his car. We made an appointment for Elder Taylor and Elder Wayman, my replacement in Alkmaar, for Friday. I kind of expected that I wouldn't be going to the appointment. I've been packing for over a week.
Well, that's all the news from here in Benelux. I'll send you the address for the apartment in Gent next week, when I have it. I love you all. The Church is true.
