Mission week 22, Eindhoven week 2

Eindhoven is a good area. I've worked here before on exchanges, and I actually taught the first lesson to an investigator who went out of town until the end of this week. It was pretty funny when I found out I was coming here. Elder Schwarz and I get along pretty well, and we found out that we actually have a lot of the same interests. He did track, and we watched all the same shows when we were younger. It's probably good that I'm getting used to getting used to areas. It'll help me be more familiar with areas when I'm finally the missionary with a companion who's new to his area.
I have not yet gotten the sandwich containers. We only went to Ikea the one time, and I didn't see any then.
Pepper really needs to learn how to start taking care of her fur. She gets so big sometimes that she has a hard time washing spots on her back. It's good that she didn't complain as you cut them out.
It'll be good for Megan to start doing something for work that is closer to her chosen career. I always secretly thought it was ironic that she wasn't doing anything that came close to teaching children for her jobs. She'll get better at fitting a lot of stuff into a small space; I'm getting better at that.
Shani will have a blast at Scout camp this week. She always does, and this time she gets to cook, which makes her happy.
It's good that Aaron and Gideon are so close to getting their Eagles. I wish I'd been able to get my Eagle.
I wish we knew more about Dad's ancestors, too. I love Norwegian culture (and food), but there's not really much to tie my ancestry into it. He should probably know that the Lord has a good sense of humor. Elder Fritzler said that the definition of irony is God's sense of humor.
You'll be surprised to know that I took a little longer falling asleep last night due to the sound of fireworks going off in our neighborhood. I think that the Dutch people have a calendar with every holiday for every culture, so they can get as many parties as possible.
So, on my first day in Eindhoven, not only did we encounter the crazy guy in a power wheel chair who preaches repentance in the centrum, but we were followed by him. Apparently he doesn't need to believe Jesus lives, because he knows Jesus lives. How he knows is that he drank a cola with him. And he doesn't need to believe we're Mormons, because he knows we're Mormons. Needless to say we ducked into a store so he couldn't follow us. Needless to say we're a little more cautious in the centrum now.
Other than that, nothing super-noteworthy has happened this week. We've just gotten a ton of rain.
I love you all.
