Mission week 18, Breda week 4

Hi.
Things are still going well. We haven't gotten the chance to go to Ikea yet. It's looking like we won't be able to make it for two more weeks, though. I haven't gotten my package, but it's in the hands of missionaries, so I'm hoping that they'll find a way to get it to me sometime soon. The work is still going slow, but we're hoping to be able to find a lot more people soon. I'm still eating well. I'm attaching some photos of the weather on Thursday, and it was pretty cool. I got them while we were biking home. Yesterday, however, it was so warm, humid, and sunny that Elder Fritzler and I regretted wearing long sleeves, and I apparently have a missionary tan line from my collar.
It sounds like Aaron's going to have a super-busy summer up at camp with all the extra people up there. And it's good that he's excited for the next school year. Did he ever have to write a report on a country for Geography? I remember that I had to, and the country I picked was actually the Netherlands, but then a girl in my class really, really wanted to do the Netherlands, so I traded with her for Portugal.
Did you have to wait outside the bookstore for forever? I remember doing that with the Christopher Paolini signing. Thankfully, I got to go right in and have my book signed when Brandon Sanderson was at the Barnes & Noble on Jordan Landing. Book signings are fun. I'm especially excited to experience the other end of some later in my life.
We have one half cup measuring cup, and it's labled as 1/2 Cup and 125 ml. We have a full set of measuring spoons with American measurements, however, so I can get in a decent amount of cooking. The cakes I've made this week have been really hard to cook all the way through, though, because our oven has hot spots, and so one will be done in half the time of the other. And I didn't know we had toothpicks until this morning, so I've been stabbing them with a fork to see if they're done, so they've all had holes in the middle. Hopefully between the toothpicks we found, the oven manual, and experience, I can cook something properly soon. But I can't find yeast or cocoa. Maybe I'll try a different store next week. Or look up the Dutch word for "yeast."
So, last week was super-busy, as I told you. Between Monday morning and Wednesday night, we spent maybe two hours at home to eat dinner on Tuesday and get more clothing. The good news is I'm now legal in Belgium until next year. Hopefully I can be legal in the Netherlands soon, becuase I've already been here for two months, and you need more long-term stuff to stay longer than three.
One of the pictures that's attached is of a visitor that we had in the Antwerp apartment on Wednesday morning when we were staying with the zone leaders. And Elder Hawkley had nothing to do with the soup plate of milk left on the floor. She was really cute, though. And on Friday, as Elder Fritzler and I were walking up to a porch, I heard a meow. I looked around, and found a cat with colors similar to Pepper lying in the shade of a tree. It saw me looking at it, stood up, and came to try to get attention. Elder Fritzler, who likes being able to breathe, avoided it as it tried walking around his legs, and I petted it. I got to feel a cat purring again! :)
That's pretty much my news for this week. I love you all.
