Mission Week 81, Gent Week 25
It's so weird that Phillip is home! When I think about that, I realize that it's not that long before I go. By the way, on Wednesday I'm getting transferred to Amersfoort. I'll let you know the address next week.
This has been a very interesting week. We had a zone conference with Elder Patrick Kearon (I had a blond moment last week) of the seventy, and it was super-awesome. He talked about a variety of different things related to missionary work. Thankfully, we got there before he started speaking. While we were on the train to Antwerp to catch the international train, there was a train in front of us that was broken down, eating up our planned twenty minutes to get to the international train. We literally touched it as it left. So we were half an hour late instead of the same amount early.
On Saturday, we got to paint a wall (I love painting!), and we had the baptism that you mentioned. The funny thing is, that's the second baptism for an American child that I've seen on my mission. It was a pretty good week. However, we didn't really have much happen missionary-work related. We tried getting in contact with a few investigators, but it was super-difficult. And I spent the whole week sitting in a bus or train. It was fun.
Yesterday, we got a new branch mission leader, who will really be able to help the missionaries. The previous one is awesome, but he's struggling at the moment, so they decided that it would be best to have somebody who can help the missionaries.
That's pretty much everything that's going on this week. I love you all. The Church is true.
