It's really bad that the Wongsuwan's house caught on fire, but it's a good thing they were all able to get out safely. Teddy's a smart dog, and he seems to be super-loyal, too. Our neighborhood has been getting a lot of negative attention the past few months, it seems.
I'm glad that my little brothers are doing well in school. I responded to Aaron's email telling him where my calculator is, and I'm hoping he'll be able to find it. He shouldn't follow in my footsteps with all my running injuries, though. Those are no fun. But his coaches know what they're doing, and they know his capabilities, so I don't think he'll have a problem.
If Megan has a hard time finding a job, she could always try selling knives. :P I hope she can get one that will let her work and enjoy it for the few months before she starts school again. I'm going to have that same problem in a year and a half.
This week has been a really interesting one. We started off the week with Elder Schwartz not having a bike, because his got stolen the week before, but then on Tuesday night some members here gave him one that he can borrow until he gets another one. But then on Thursday, Elder Schwartz noticed that my back wheel was wobbling a lot. I called one of the senior missionaries, and he told me how to fix it, but then he didn't realize that it was exactly what I shouldn't do. So on Saturday, when it looked like a Pringle (not a good shape for a rear bike wheel), they came down and took it to a bike shop. I'll get an estimate tomorrow, so that'll hopefully be quickly and inexpensively repaired.
Despite needing to bus almost everywhere, we had pretty good appointments with all of our investigators. We even ran into both of them on Saturday while doing service for a (crazy) member. And then last night we got a new investigator who was a referral. She was so positive on the online chat that the person who was talking to her, who served here on his mission, called one of the members so we could get her info ASAP. We taught her yesterday, and she seems pretty positive.
We've been having a lot of hot weather here, too. It was pretty warm for about four days, and then it returned to normal (read: wet).
I am pretty happy here. Right now I´m working on drinking a liter of vla, so I might gain a few pounds (which is honestly what I'm trying to do). The members are feeding us well. We have seven or eight meal appointments every week, so we haven't had to spend a lot of money on groceries.
The Church is true. I saw a bumper sticker in a window yesterday that said "Don't drive faster than your angels can fly." That is so true. I love you all.
