Mission Week 99, Sint Niklaas Week 5

Dislocating your toe sounds like an amazing way to start the year. Way to go, Pip! :P I got to start off my year with going on exchanges in Brugge (where I've already seen two investigators be baptized) and trying to find a pharmacy that was open so I could get allergy medicine. You'd think that there would be a lot of pharmacies open on January 1 in Europe, seeing as how everybody is hung over from the night before, but no. I couldn't find one that was open, so I had to wait until Wednesday. But now I know that most of my coughing and sneezing was allergies, because I've been taking mediine since Wednesday, and it's been a lot better. On Wednesday, right after we made it to a pharmacy, we had an appointment with a young man who is really searching for the truth. He's already recognized a lot of signs of the apostasy, and he likes how we don't have a ton of statues all over the building. He's excited to read the Book of Mormon, and we'll hopefully be able to meet with him again soon. He said that he wants to read it a little bit before we meet with him again, so I told him we'd call him in a week or so. Yesterday, we went and biked to the church with a woman who is interested in learning more about the church, and when we got to the church the members who were already there told us that there was somebody there. We went into the chapel and saw a thirteen-year-old boy sitting all alone (disappointing, members) and when we talked to him he said that he had come about two years ago, and just felt like coming that day. We have an appointment with him this week, so hopefully we'll be able to see what he thought of church and why he stopped going the first time. Last week, on New Year's Eve, we had to be inside by four. So I took advantage of that time to finish the Book of Mormon the sixth time in 2012, as well as make fettuccine Alfredo. It was delicious. :) This last week we've been having a lot of events that I think are designed to make me trunky. It's kind of annoying. Well, that's pretty much it for this week. The Church is true. I love you.
