Mission Week 71, Gent Week 15

This week has really been a week for sowing. We haven't had any appointments that have gone through, and nobody we tried talking to on the street was even willing to tell us where the nearest bus stop is, were that what we were trying to ask. But we've been doing the only thing we can; "Keep moving forward." We did manage to get light fixtures in our apartment, which is an improvement. It's nice to be able to open the bathroom door without hitting the light bulb that's hanging right outside the door. And Elder Praag got a bike, and the flat tire on mine got fixed, so now we can bike places, instead of always being stuck waiting for public transportation. It's so weird to think that people are celebrating Independence Day soon. Here the only thing that's going to be celebrated is the Gentse Feesten (Dutch for "Best Business for Bars Days). So there will be a bunch of people from all over Europe coming to Gent to get drunk. It'll be fun contacting people. It's good that there is a new band teacher at West Jordan. But it's sad that he's a Grizzly; instead of a Jaguar. Oh, well. It sounds like things back home are pretty exciting, with people trying to figure out housing, and Aaron having that awful sounding condition, and your root canal. The only really exciting thing here is that I get to meet my new mission president tomorrow. It's so weird that the Brubakers are gone. I'm going to intentionally keep this email short, because there isn't much new this week, and also because I need to translate my line of priesthood authority into Dutch (to give to Patrick, with his name added at the end). The Church is true. I love you all.
