MTC, Week 6

So, to answer Dad's questions: I haven't served as a host yet. Elder Van De Graaff and I want to, but we don't know how to sign up. I took care of the pocket for my newer suit a while before coming in, and the other one was opened when we put my pocket square in for Homecoming. Elder Van De Graaff got to the MTC when we were supposed to get there, and he's been my companion the whole time. Our teachers decided to give us a transfer for the classroom, despite the fact that today marks the start of the next transfer that we've been here, so Elder Wait's my companion in the classroom. It made it a little difficult when he was sick on Monday, though. By the way, Megan'll like to know that Elder Wait's dad, Mark Wait, works as an announcer for 89.1. Our district has nine missionaries, and we all leave the day after Easter. Elder Pederson's going to Suriname, so he'll probably get a reassignment while he waits for his visa to come in, but the rest of us are most likely going to be able to fly straight into Brussels. I actually haven't seen very many people eat Marshmallow Mateys. I usually go for Tootie Frooties and Raisin Bran. Foursquare is fun, and there honestly aren't many cute girls who play it in our gym period. I've been getting in some good running when I've been feeling up to it. I ran a hard mile this last week, and I think I got around 6:30 or 7:00, because I took the first fifth of the mile easy.

The Belgian ambassador came into our class last week, and it was pretty cool. We each got a (bad) print of a (bad) picture that one of the MTC employees took. The ambassador's wife told us, when asked what food we should get, to not miss out on the waffles. :) :) :) :) :)

In less than three weeks from today, I'll be in Brussels. It's super-exciting. I'm just a little worried that Flemmish will throw me off a little. And there's also the fact that the people in Brussels speak French. But my friend from track started talking to me in French yesterday (he's going to Switzerland), and I understood a little bit of it.

I think that one of my favorite talks in Conference was Elder Bednar's talk about revelation and comparing it to light. I also liked President Uchtdorf's talk, the one without any aviation analogies. That was really good.

We're getting two new Dutch missionaries in today, and more Danish missionaries (the last Danes left on Monday). I'm excited to see the new missionaries looking up to us and seeing how much Dutch we know, like we did to Elder Calkins and elder Guannuna when we got here.

I have two really funny pictures that I took of a tree outside our classroom window on Sunday and Monday. It looks like the one on Sunday was taken in the middle of the winter and the one on Monday was taken in late spring. It's really weird.

I'm just wondering if you're planning on giving the Easter Bunny my address this year.

I'm really glad to know that I'll be accepted to SVU when I get back. It'll be nice to not need to worry about that.

I was robbed of five minutes of my email time because it took two minutes to load, and then I closed it and brought it back up, but every time you log on, it takes at least five minutes off of your time. I'm just going to finish here. If I think of more to tell you, I'll send some snail mail.

I love you all.
