Mission Week 103, Eindhoven Week 3

First off, I have a very important question. Will I be released before I report to the high council, or do I have to wait for a few days before I get released? The weather here has really warmed up. There's no snow to be seen, and the constant wind was actually pretty warm this morning. Hopefully that'll mean a warm two weeks. Yesterday, one of our investigators brought a friend to church, and he's really interested in the gospel. During Gospel Principles, he said "I heard a lot about Joseph Smith in the last meeting. Who is he?" It was awesome. On Thursday we had a dinner appointment with a couple where they're both physics teachers. As he was driving us back to the station after dinner, there was an ambulance coming our way, so he rolled down the window. "Doppler effect!" Right after that he ended up screaming and putting on the emergency brake (in the purple, flowery car borrowed from his sister) as the ambulance pulled into our lane to pass somebody. Another funny story from this week was when Elder Lind asked "What does Philips do besides making lightbulbs?" This was prompted by the world headquarters being right next to the station in Eindhoven. I told him that they make a ton of electronics, like irons, his toothbrush, etc. The next morning, he was shaving and noticed that his shaver is Philips. And then the other day he went to the bathroom. "EVEN OUR TOILET'S PHILIPS!" Elder Nish and I looked at each other and laughed. Unfortunately, that's basically everything exciting that happened this week, besides another shoelace breaking. Thankfully, there's an Ecco store in Eindhoven, so I got some there that match my shoes. The Church is true. I love you.
