To start off, I've had to do quite a bit of mending. My coat, the Mr. Mac coat, has had four of the eight buttons that hold the two parts together almost come off. So I've had to resew those four on. I've also had to reinforce some of the buttons on my suit pants (blame the MTC food), and I've made a sock puppet. Now I'm just trying to figure out how to replace one of the snap buttons on my coat that fell off last night. Man, Dutch weather is brutal!
The weather here has been warming up. Now it's pretty much the typical, world-famous Dutch spring weather. With a lot more ducks than I was expecting. Oh, yeah. The birds here don't migrate. It's really bizarre.
You can tell Oma that she's still younger than one of my former companions, and he's still doing as much missionary work as his age will allow him.
Gideon should look for the silver lining on the cloud of no Dart Tag championships this year. He'll be on the champion team for two years running, without any effort. But he and his quorum can probably practice, if he ever wants to play Dart Tag.
It sounds like Aaron just keeps getting busier and busier, even with dropping so many extracurricular activities. But what can I expect? That's the life of a super-stud. He has strep? That's no fun. I got some allergy medicine last week, and that's been helping keep me alive a lot more lately. The Dutch spring came and hit me really hard. Everybody's been asking me if I have a cold, but now I can tell them with surety that it is really just allergies.
It's been a pretty slow week here, too. We've been trying to get appointments with former investigators who haven't really been dropped for any good reason, and we have quite a few scheduled for the week.
The Church is true. I love you all!
